The MDT community is very important to the interns. All interns will receive project-based, purposeful work from MDT with an emphasis on their professional development. Engagement in numerous special activities and events will provide participants a thorough understanding of the organization. Interns collaborate with our social media team and participate in periodic check-ins with the director.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have legal authorization to work in the US.
- Internships are available year-round.
- Although shorter or longer commitments will be considered on a case-by-case basis, MDT internships demand a commitment of 5 to 15 hours per week.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
With an emphasis on special events, rehearsal, and production, the intern will support our social media team and creative team. The unique blend of administrative and practical work offered by this internship encourages the development of crucial skills that may be used for a variety of careers in production, programming, event management, and arts administration.
SCHEDULE:
This internship’s schedule falls within our business hours and will be on-site and virtual. Monday – Saturday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Flexibility to work outside of these hours may occur but is not guaranteed.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assist with event planning and space management.
- Answer emails, assistance with the social media team and offer general administrative assistance.
- By performing market research, producing new packages, and creating documentation and event protocols.
- At various events for external and internal departmental events, support technical production, management, or front of house teams based on skill set, event requirements, and interest.
- By collaborating with the operations team and the operations manager, enhance the way events are organized and serve the community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional planning and organizing abilities; superb attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skilled in Zoom and the Microsoft Office Suite, which includes Excel, Word, Outlook, and others.
- The ability to work part - time, such as evenings and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in event management, administration, or production.
- Familiarity with event management software.
- Familiarity with Canva, Facebook, Instagram, & Tik Tok

- If an intern is not obtaining college credit or being compensated through a partnership, they are entitled for a lump sum payment each month.
