Students’ health is our priority. We strongly recommend washing hands before and after class to promote cleanliness, and hand sanitizer is readily available during sessions. While face masks are optional, staying home when sick is mandatory. To ensure continuity, students may participate in classes via Zoom during illness.
Timeliness is essential for effective learning. Students should arrive at least five minutes early, fully dressed in appropriate attire, and wait quietly on their designated rainbow-colored dot. Consistent attendance is vital, but up to three make-up lessons are available for absences from September through December, as assigned by the office. To ensure safety, late arrivals (more than 10 minutes) will observe the class rather than participate, with no refunds or make-ups for lateness.
Proper attire is non-negotiable. Students must adhere to the school’s dress code as outlined on our website or in the office. Changing in restrooms is prohibited. For young ladies, undergarments must provide appropriate support without being visible, and sleeveless leotards require removal of underarm hair.
To prevent mix-ups, students must label their shoes and dance bags with their names. The school is not responsible for lost items. Jewelry is prohibited in class, except for stud earrings, to ensure safety.
Students with beaded hairstyles must wear a head covering to minimize distractions and hazards. Silk bonnets or turbans can be purchased at the office for $4.00.
Cell phones are not permitted during class, including water breaks. Food, gum, and candy are strictly prohibited in the dance and waiting rooms, and lotion should not be applied before class to avoid creating slippery surfaces.
Parents are expected to be punctual when picking up their children. Students must remain in the waiting room until their parents arrive.
Our community thrives on love, respect, and high energy. Students must respect their peers, instructors, and themselves. Disrespect will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal. Students are encouraged to practice daily, as consistent effort leads to growth and mastery.
Students should enter and exit through the front door. The back door is reserved for parents accompanying their children.
By following these guidelines, students contribute to a nurturing and professional dance environment where they can excel and fully embrace their passion for dance.
By adhering to these rules, students help create a positive and professional dance environment.
