Community Event

Maliek Dance Theater will be giving back to the community this summer on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Free food, activities, a giveaway, a dance, and much more will be provided. Come spend the day with us at our upcoming street fair, where there will be fantastic music, tasty food, and interesting vendors.

Don't skip the celebrations! Our street fair will provide a variety of kid-friendly activities, such as face painting and carnival games. Bring the whole family to our street fair so you may spend the day mingling with your neighbors and making new acquaintances.

"Maliek Dance Theatre delivered its performance on 3-4-23; this was the second time I've seen this company perform, and I was not disappointed either time. The theme of the performance on 3-4-23 was "Run to the Rock" and the theme was well executed throughout this performance. The dancing was strong, and impactful, and told a unique story that anybody who attended could relate to. I was particularly awed at how there were no duplicates of dance moves throughout the entire performance. The choreography was well thought out and in my opinion a direct reflection of Mr. Campbell's personality, skills, and abilities as an artist. The violinists, which were also part of the show were mesmerizing; I thought having them perform introduce a unique element to the show. Keep up the excellent work, Mr. Campbell."

I believe the author Nasir Campbell implemented the characters in his play very well, as they faced the many challenges of agony, and suffering as if there were anyway possible for God to take the burdens off there shoulders. The performance of the maliek dance theater was absolutely beautiful and outstanding. All of the dancers did a spectacular performance together and solo. The music was great and had you patting your feet and clapping your hands. I would recommend this dance theater to see more of their performances in the future.
