Maliek Dance Theater Performing Arts School: Parent Info

1. Drop-off & Pick-up: Please drop off and pick up your child from the designated entrance. For everyone's safety, students must not enter or exit through any unauthorized doors.
2. Parent Waiting Areas: Parents are welcome to wait in the designated waiting room or observe classes via Zoom. This ensures a focused and distraction-free environment for the students.
3. Food & Drink: No food or drink is allowed in the waiting room or dance areas. Water bottles are permitted and can be purchased at the front desk if needed.
4. Punctuality: Students should arrive 5–10 minutes before their class begins to allow time to put on dance shoes, use the restroom, and wash hands. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will observe the class for the day for their safety and others’.
5. Waiting Room Etiquette: Please remain quiet while in the waiting room or hallway to respect the class in progress. Cell phone use is not permitted in shared spaces.
6. Weather Alerts: In case of inclement weather, please check our website www.maliekdancetheater.org  or social media for updates regarding class cancellations or delays.
7. Observation Weeks: Parents are invited to observe their child’s progress during designated Observation Weeks in November and March. Weekly Zoom access is also available for those who prefer virtual observation.
8. Contact Information Updates: It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to keep the office informed of any changes in address, phone numbers, or email addresses. Additionally, all students must have at least one emergency contact on file (other than a parent).
9. Timely Pick-up: Please pick up your child on time from the waiting room after class. Late pick-ups are not permitted, and repeated incidents may result in dismissal from the program.
10. Tuition, Performance Fees, & Tickets:
    • Tuition is due on or before the first lesson of each month. A $10 late fee will be applied after the 15th.
    • A performance fee is due , for all dancers participating in the annual recital.
    • Recital tickets will be available for purchase beginning March 9, 2025, priced between $30–$50.

1. Respect & Conduct: At Maliek Dance Theater Performing Arts School, we foster an environment of love, respect, and professionalism. Disrespect toward staff, students, or other families will not be tolerated. Instances of inappropriate behavior will result in immediate dismissal.
